The innovative 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology and 10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology provide foundational studies in biblical studies, theology and ministry at a vocational graduate level for the professional who has a call to ministry in the commercial marketplace or for those wanting to fulfill their dream in ministry.

Graduates who complete this course can be employed in leadership positions in (para) church organizations and the wider society. Such positions have included pastors, missionaries, and chaplains. ENTRY CRITERIA
10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology
Applicants must be actively involved in a leadership role within a Christian church and have completed a 10435NAT Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology or equivalent, or recognized Australian undergraduate degree or higher, or equivalent overseas qualification.

10437NAT Graduate Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology
Applicants must be actively involved in a leadership role within a Christian church and have completed a 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology or equivalent.

WORK-BASED TRAINING
10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology
In addition to study time students are required to complete 120 hours of volunteer work within their local church. This volunteer work is called “Work-Based Training”. 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology students are expected to minister in a leadership role within their local church, where they are required to develop others.

10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology
In addition to study time students are required to complete 120 hours of volunteer work within their local church. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process where students may be granted credit towards a qualification in recognition of their prior skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.

The process requires students to gather evidence of their skills. Fees apply. Ask Hope College for an RPL application form.

Complete Work-Based Training Agreement and Plan

ASSESSMENT
Assessment tasks include questions, case scenarios, research, portfolios, and workplace competency. Upon successful
completion of the course requirements you will be awarded a 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology or a 10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology.

Participants who exit the course without completing all requirements will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for those units in
which they have demonstrated competency.

BIBLE STUDY RESOURCES

To complete this course you will need a Study Bible (e.g. NIV Study Bible, Life Application Study Bible) and access to a Bible Concordance, Bible Dictionary, and Bible Commentary, which can be purchased or accessed via the internet.

SUPPORT SERVICES
Training support is provided by Hope College staff via phone, email and/or internet for the duration of the course.

ONGOING EDUCATION OPTIONS
Completion of these courses can provide partial articulation into a Masters of Ministry or equivalent.

WORKLOAD

Six months Full-time – 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology 6 subjects plus 120 hours Work-based Training over the duration of 6 months. This is broken down into 60 hours of WBT each term. There are 3 subjects for each term.
