The innovative 10746NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology provide studies in the Bible, theology, and ministry at a vocational graduate level for the professional who has a call to ministry in the commercial marketplace or for those wanting to fulfill their calling in ministry.
Graduates who complete this course can be employed in leadership positions in (para) church organizations and the wider society. Such positions have included pastors, missionaries, and chaplains.
The 10746NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology may allow the person with an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree to gain entry into many ministry-related Master’s degrees.

10745NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology
Applicants must be actively involved in a leadership role within a Christian church and have completed a 10744NAT Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology or equivalent, or recognised Australian undergraduate degree or higher, or equivalent overseas qualification.
10746NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology
In addition to study time students are required to complete 240 hours of volunteer work within their local church. This volunteer work is called WBT- “Work-Based Training”.
10746NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology students are expected to minister in a leadership role within their local church, where they are required to develop others.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process where students may be granted credit towards a qualification in recognition of their prior skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. The process requires students to gather evidence of their skills. Fees apply. Ask Hope College for an RPL application form.
RTO’S OBLIGATION TO RECOGNISE – Direct Credit Transfer (DCT)
Hope College recognises and accepts Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Direct Credit Transfer (DCT) will be given to any student who has successfully completed units in any of our accredited courses with another RTO. Students must produce a certified copy of their Record of Results/Statement of Attainment for our records prior to the commencement of studies. There is no fee for DCT.

- Obtain a reference from your local church pastor (Pastoral Reference Form available From Hope College website)

Assessment tasks include questions, case scenarios, research, portfolios, and workplace competency. Upon successful
completion of the course requirements you will be awarded a 10746NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology.
Participants who exit the course without completing all requirements will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for those units in
which they have demonstrated competency.

Williams, J Rodman (1996) Renewal Theology: Systematic Theology From a Charismatic Perspective (3 Volumes in 1) Grand Rapids: Zondervan. The college will also email students various reading from various authors (limited to 10% due to copyright rules).
BIBLE STUDY RESOURCES
To complete this course you will need a Study Bible (e.g. NIV Study Bible, Life Application Study Bible) and access to a Bible Concordance, Bible Dictionary, and Bible Commentary, which can be purchased or accessed via the internet.
Training support is provided by Hope College staff via phone, email and/or internet.
ONGOING EDUCATION OPTIONS
Completion of these courses can provide partial articulation into a Masters of Ministry or equivalent.
