Our innovative 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology, and 10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology provide studies in biblical studies, theology and ministry at vocational graduate level for those who may work in a secular field but also sense a call to ministry.  You will cause your faith to deepen and your understanding of God will be stretched.

Graduates who complete this course can be employed in leadership positions or a ministry position while working in a secular field at the same time. The 10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology will also allow the person with an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree to gain entry into many ministry-related Master’s degrees.

ENTRY CRITERIA FOR

10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology

Applicants must be  actively  involved in aleadership role within  a  Christian church and have completed an 10435NAT Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology or equivalent, or recognised Australian undergraduate degree or higher, or equivalent overseas qualification.

10437NAT Graduate Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology

Applicants must be  actively  involved   in  a leadership role  within  a  Christian church and have completed a 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology or equivalent.

 WORK BASED TRAINING

In addition to study time students are required to complete 120 hours of volunteer work within their local church.  This volunteer work is called “Work-Based Training”. 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology students are expected  to minister in  a leadership role within their local church, where they are required to develop others.

10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology

 RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process where students may be granted credit towards a qualification in recognition of their prior skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.  The process requires students to gather evidence of their skills.  Fees apply.  Ask Hope College for an RPL application form.

 APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Complete a Student Application Form
  • Provide a USI number
  • Pay $150 non-refundable application fee (per course)
  • Read the Student Handbook
  • Have your Pastor complete the Pastor’s Reference Form
  • Write a short essay giving their reasons for studying this course
  • Complete Work-Based Training Agreement and Plan

ASSESSMENT Assessment tasks

Assessment tasks include: questions, case scenarios, research, portfolios and workplace competency. Upon   successful completion of the course requirements you will be awarded a 10436NAT Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology or a 10437NAT Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology. Participants who exit the course without completing all requirements will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for those units in which they have demonstrated competency.

Course fees total $1,650 paid in 6 instalments and includes $150 non-refundable application fee. Each instalment of $250 is paid in advance.

To complete this course you will need a Study Bible (e.g. NIV Study Bible, Life Application Study Bible) and access to a Bible Concordance, Bible Dictionary, and Bible Commentary, which can be purchased or accessed via the internet.
